Our Process

Working with us is simple. In just a few steps you’ll be on your way to winning interviews for the jobs you want at the salary you deserve!

1. Send us your current resume plus one to three examples of your ideal job (full job leads with position description and requirements) for a Free Resume Evaluation and Price Quote.

2. Sign our Client Agreement Form.

3. Complete our personalized Resume Worksheet and Client Interview.

4. Review the First Draft.

5. Approve the Final Draft.

Once you decide to work with us, we will send you a client agreement form to sign and fax or mail back to us with authorization to charge your credit card. Full payment is required prior to the start of any writing project. Major credit cards are accepted for your convenience.

After we receive your payment, we will email you a personalized electronic resume worksheet to fill out and email back to us so that we can gather some additional information from you (aside from the intial information contained in your old resume and the one to three examples of your ideal job) to write your resume. Our exclusive customized resume worksheet, designed just for you, assists you in clarifying what you have to offer a potential employer. As a result, you are more prepared and confident during the interview process!

Once we receive your completed resume worksheet, we will set up a 30 to 60 minute phone appointment to interview you for the final information we'll need to write your resume. After that appointment, we'll send your draft resume by email within five to seven business days.

After your new resume is written, you will proofread and approve it before your project is considered complete. Editing is typically minimal, so that one or two business days later you should have a copy you can begin using! Once you OK the final draft(s) of your document(s), we'll print copies and mail them to you. It's a pretty simple process!

Final documents are e-mailed to you as electronic attachments. All documents are written in Microsoft Word. Resumes, cover letters, and all other personal marketing documents are kept on file at Simplify Your Life Career Services for future updates as your career grows.
